Who is Bath’s Brainiest Business? We put that to the test at the Brain of Bath Quiz which returned on Thursday 10th October.
The annual Julian House quiz was back and challenging as ever!
This challenging quiz brought together a variety of local organisations at the Bath Pavilion where they battled it out to determine who is Bath’s Brainiest Business.
This year, the Brain of Bath coincided with World Homeless Day, a significant day which acknowledges the charity’s ongoing efforts to support individuals affected by homelessness and social exclusion.
Clive Mantle, who you might have seen in shows such as Game of Thrones, Vicar of Dibley and Casualty was our celebrity host for the evening. He took the competitors through ten rounds of varied questions covering a variety of tricky topics including our famous smells round where the teams had to use their noses to guess everything from cardamon pods to Calpol.
During the evening, contestants were also treated with a word from our new ambassador, Dominic West who thanked the contestants for taking part.
A raffle took place at the end of the evening where a range of prizes from Bath and beyond were up for grabs. This included Bath Thermae Spa, Chippenham Golf Course and many more generous local companies.
‘As always it is a treat to see so many local organisations take part to support our beloved quiz, with teams bringing an equal measure of generosity and competition to create an exciting evening. When else are we going to see this varied range of businesses unite under one roof as they debate the correct number of Taylor Swift studio albums?’ Gavin Osborn, Community Fundraiser and host of the evening.
