Julian House is thrilled to announce that our annual Big Exeter Sleep-Out event will be returning yet again, following incredible support from the community in previous years.
The event will take place at St James Park Football Stadium, Exeter, on the 17th of March 2023, and we are inviting members of the public of all ages, to sleep outside for one night to help support those forced to sleep out every night.
If you’ve ever wondered what it might feel like to sleep under the stars, what better way to find out than all together at one of Exeter’s most iconic venues. Whether you’re a thrill-seeking individual looking for your next challenge, a corporate group looking to unite your team through charitable activity, or a fired-up family searching for a unique way to spend a Friday night, this event truly is for everybody.
Annabelle Lowes, Senior Community and Events Fundraiser at Julian House, said: “We are so delighted that this event is taking place again in 2023! It holds a special place in the heart of our community and generates tremendous support and awareness for the vulnerable people that we care for. We are incredibly grateful for every participants effort in joining us to help raise vital funds.”.
No one is under any illusion that spending one night outside could possibly replicate what it is like to be homeless and on the streets. After the Big Exeter Sleep-Out you can go home, have a warm bath, have a nice breakfast and chat to family or friends about your experience, perhaps even go back to bed to catch up on the sleep you lost the night before. By being sponsored to sleep out for just one night, you will be helping others who don’t have the luxury of their own home to return to.
Giving up just one night really could transform the lives of others.
Places are limited, so don’t press snooze on this event, and sign up by clicking below or or contact Annabelle for more information: annabelle.lowes@julianhouse.org.uk.
